Ian Gwilt is a Professor of Design (research) at the University of South Australia and the lead for the Healthcare and Design Lab at the Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments. He is interested in design for communication, sensemaking, and knowledge mobilization in the healthcare environment. He has worked on health-related research projects with healthcare providers both in the UK and Australia and is an advocate of user-centered, participatory co-design methodologies. Working with a team of academic researcher to offer a range of design for health research capabilities including multistakeholder co-design workshop facilitation, the design of information communication materials, and the co-development of training resources using AR and VR technologies to facilitate user interaction experiences. He has several years’ experience researching with a range of communities across the healthcare, Glam, technology, and design sectors. |
